Bourne to the future

Bourne Track staff lept straight into the 21st century In September, when director Tim Clifford finally saw his vision go live on site. On the 29th of September all of Bourne's team leaders were issued with New Samsung Tablets. With the Help of HSQE advisor Paul Walker, Bourne Track has been working tirelessly to take the company to a new modern direction. Tim and Paul have been working closely together creating one Bourne Track Server for all its operatives to be be able to access out on site.
One of its key roles onsite will be to demonstrate to Bourne's clients on who our teams really are and their capabilities. Clients will now be able to request at anytime whilst onsite to see what they wish where teams teams on their projects are concerned. Electronic ID profiles, training certs, even weekly Bourne Track safety briefings issued via email to each tablet, this being just a very small part of what's available on the new Bourne Tabs. The move will also assist Bourne Tracks Safety critical staff to get to grips with the all new Sentinel system as the tablet will work far more effectively than a mobile phone.
Tim Clifford commented "Gangs will have full access to as much info and company documentation as they shall require. It was always a vision of mine to take Bourne into the future and show our clients that we are here to offer something unique".

Tablet Success

The tablets on site have so far been a success with all of Bourne's team leaders showing they too are willing to head into the future. The teams onsite are now able to communicate more effectively on a daily basis with Bourne Track Management. Also team leaders have been encouraged to use this new site tool to report any unsafe acts or anything they feel is unsafe to the Railway infrastructure. All reports received get logged by Paul Walker and raised to Bourne Tracks clients to try and rectify effectively together.

Feedback from teams and clients on site has been very positive with the implementation of the new Bourne Track tablets and server. The teams have taken to using them very successfully and shown just how willing they are to adapt to new modern ways of working. Clients McNicholas and Balfour Beatty have both commented on what a good step this is and are very impressed to see the extra added tools now available to teams on site.

Following on from this new age era, Bourne Track now look towards designing and implementing their very own close call systems which will be used to work alongside all of it clients.
