Civil Engineering for Rail

Bourne Track was started with more than 16 years experience within the Rail Infrastructure, our aim is to deliver high class; work, whilst striking up great relationships with our future clients along the way. We are fully comfortable undertaking all aspects of civil works, whether this is on a day rate or a measured rate situation. We have a vast amount of experienced staff that between them all range between 4-10 years experience working in all types of rail environments. All our staff are fully trained in the expected competencies that are needed to carry out various civil works. They are professionals and fully understand the strong and moral work ethic of Bourne Track and the excellent service we provide to our clients within the rail industry.
We like to operate in the following way:
  • 4 - 6 Man Teams
  • Each team will have its own foreman
  • Each team will have its own separate COSS who will work closely
with the foreman to make sure all works are carried out in a safe
    and professional manor.
  • The rest of the team will hold 4 staff fully experienced in
undertaking all aspects of Rail Civil works.
  • Should we employ new people to work for us, they will be made
to sit through further training in undertaking works and
understanding what is expected of them whilst they are working for us. This is to make sure that we employ the best possible
people for the jobs we have.
  • Should a person complete his initial PTS and is new to the Rail
industry, then he or she will be put into a fully experienced team
so that they can be shown the correct ways of working both
    safely and professionally.
  • We like to keep our teams working together on each project so
that they can keep familiarity with each other and also our
clients have continuity with the staff working on each project per
    day
  • We have a strong policy where drugs and alcohol are concerned
and have a zero tolerance policy towards this.
  • We have a strict discipline policy which includes non attendance
at work and poor performance and behavior.
We have a strong team working for us both out onsite and also office based. Bourne Track likes to keep up to date with all news and progress from each project that we may be working on. One of the ways we like to achieve this is for regular meetings with our clients project managers to discuss any issues they may have or requirements that may be needed from us. We also like to promote health and safety within Bourne Track and will often hold our own on site audits should this be welcomed by Clients, this is just a way for us to keep our staff briefed on any safety issues that may have occurred elsewhere in the UK .This also allows us to confirm to Network Rail and RISQS protocols and ensureall our staff are working correctly and meeting all safety requirements that are expected of them.We like our safety team to liaise with our client’s safety team on a regular basis to ensure that all parties are satisfied on current projects.
